The Top 100.
The list of REALTORS® contained in this website are separated as team agents and individual agents. We only include the top 100 team agents and the top 100 individual agents in the Metro Atlanta area. Total sales volume for 1999 as reported by the Metro Atlanta Boards of REALTORS® determines the Top 100. Only the most organized and customer-service oriented agents will have the skill and expertise to manage the millions of dollars in sales that these agents represent. In all, the agents in our database closed over $1 Billion in real estate transactions for the 1999 calendar year.

The team agents have other licensed agents working for them in specific functions, such as buyer brokerage. These teams of real estate professionals provide you greater resources while able to assist a greater number of buyers and sellers.

The individual agent is typically a specialist in representing buyers or sellers. A one-on-one relationship can be developed. The agent traditionally specializes in a smaller area than the team.

It is important to decide whether or not you prefer to work with a team agent or individual agent. Some people prefer the individual attention they receive from an individual agent while others enjoy the ease of access to a team that can handle any concern at a moment's notice. It is a personal preference, but knowing which you prefer will make your transaction smoother.

What is a REALTOR®?
The term REALTOR® can only be used by licensed real estate agents who have agreed to practice in the profession under a strict 17 article Code of Ethics. They have joined a Board of REALTORS®, an international trade association, and have a commitment to integrity in all transactions.

Explaining agent designations.
As professionals, real estate agents can receive designations for specialized training and for recognition of their sales success. In most cases these designations are not automatic for completion of a real estate class. And many of the classes associated with these designations are considered post-graduate studies that can be taken over the course of months or years. We've compiled a list of some of the designations below. On our search engine you will see these designations in the advanced search options. These designations show a strong commitment to the real estate industry and the real estate profession.
